Healing Prayer

I have been reading “The Maker’s Diet” for the past couple of weeks now.  I’ve known about the book for awhile now, but just haven’t gotten it to read…until I was at the Goodwill store and found it there for $1.99.  Of course, I grabbed it and put it in my cart!

Of all the books I’ve read, this one really struck me and I thought I would share a piece if it with you today.

God is our Ultimate Healer

When someone is sick and dealing with a disease process…it can often be hard to know exactly what path to take to heal it. Should you go with what your conventional doctor tells you to do or should you go with a natural herbalist, naturopathic doctor or other health professional?  Or should you do some of both?  Either way, we need to trust in the God who made us to lead us down the right path.

“Ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you.”  Matthew 7:7

Consider writing these down and putting them where you will read them each day:

Morning Prayer:

Father God, I thank you for creating me in Your image.  I praise You that I am fearfully and wonderfully made.  I confess that You are the God that heals, my Great Physician.  I ask You to heal my body from the top of my head to the soles of my feet.  I pray that You would regenerate every bone, joint, tendon, ligament, tissue, organ, and cell of my body.  This is the day that the Lord has made; I will rejoice and be glad in it.

Evening Prayer:

Father God, I thank you for sustaining me today.  I thank You that You are made perfect in my weakness.  Your grace is sufficient for me.  I thank you that Your steadfast love never ceases and Your mercies are new every morning.  You say in Your Word that mourning may come for a night, bu the new day will bring gladness.  Bless me with a healing night’s sleep.  Restore unto me the joy of my salvation.  Help me to stay on the path that leads to life.

This comes directly from the book.

Healthy Teeth: Amalgam Fillings

When talking about natural dentistry and tooth care, the issue of Amalgam (mercury) fillings and the use of Flouride are at the top.  It seems the things that become common practice are later seen to be a problem, when it comes to our health.  I guess it means that we need to take the time to research for ourselves what is the best treatment for caring for our teeth!

Here are our previous Healthy Teeth posts to read.

Amalgam (Mercury) Fillings

Amalgam fillings were first introduced to the dental community in 1833. Many dentists were outraged at the suggestion of putting such a highly toxic metal into their patients’ mouths.  Amalgam was actually called “Quacksilber” and anyone who placed amalgams was called a “Quack.”  This controversy was later termed the “First Amalgam War”.  The war ended when proponents of mercury insisted that the mercury was safe because it was stabilized in the hardened amalgam compound of silver, copper, tin, and zinc, and did not come out.  Since amalgam was less expensive and easier to work with than the standard gold fillings, it was not long before silver amalgam was routinely used for filling cavities.
