A Natural Health journey is a process.  Last time, we started a list of simple steps to start you off on your way!

As we continue our journey, we are getting stronger & wiser every day!  Yay!  We are recognizing better food choices and becoming aware that just because it’s advertised on TV and it’s on the grocery store shelf, does NOT mean that it is good for you!  We really do need to think for ourselves and make informed choices as to what we put in our grocery cart!

The greatest Christmas gift of all
Was never placed beneath a tree,
But lay within a manger
Beneath a star, for all to see.

Diet & Lifestyle Suggestions Part 1

Starting a journey towards Natural Health can be one of the best thing you can do for your family’s health!  In the beginning, it can be a bit overwhelming, so remembering to take it one step at a time.  For us, it was a day by day process that developed a lifestyle of learning new things: what to buy at the grocery store, how to prepare food, how to grow our own food, finding organic food sources, learning about how the body heals itself, natural remedies and being open to change.

Here is a list of Simple Steps that we have taken that may be helpful for you >> Continue Reading

Disease Crisis vs. Healing Crisis

Have you ever wondered why we get sick?  Is it because our bodies are fighting off a bug or is it a disease process that is taking place?

John Scileppi, L.Ac.

Here is a wonderful list that compares Disease Crisis Symptoms and Healing Crisis Symptoms.  Because they really are different and the outcome is the opposite. This comes to us from a good friend of ours, John Scileppi, L.Ac.  His website is:  www.QualityNutrients.com

A Disease Crisis

  • Starts gradually and is developed over a period of a few hours or days.  In rare cases, it can be for months and years.
  • Results from abuse, wrong living and eating habits, over-use of medications, etc..
  • Lasts usually more than 3 days.
  • Inefficient or lacking elimination.
  • Usually symptoms are different from any previously experienced.
  • After the crisis, there is always a period of convalescence.
  • Any damaged tissue does not regenerate or regenerates partially after some time.
  • A doctor can relieve or aggravate the crisis, usually by using medication (to suppress the crisis).
  • The chronology of the crisis is different and unpredictable every time, and after the crisis, the person feels worse or the or the same as he/she felt before the crisis.
  • A person can die in a disease crisis.

A  Healing Crisis

  • Starts suddenly, after feelings of perfect health.
  • Results from a prescribed healthy program or starts spontaneously, sometimes after stopping medications.
  • Lasts usually about 1-3 days.
  • Perfect elimination
  • Repeating of old symptoms in a reverse order to the appearance of the “disease crisis” throughout one’s life.
  • After the crisis, the condition improves very quickly.
  • Any damaged tissue almost always regenerates after a few weeks or months.
  • A doctor can do nothing to alleviate the crisis. He can only be an unprejudiced observer, consultant and advisor.
  • The chronology of the crisis is definitive, according to Herings’s Law of Cure and after the crisis, the person feels years younger with lots of energy.
  • A healing crisis never ends in death.

Understanding the difference between a Disease Crisis and a Healing Crisis is important!  Our bodies were designed to cleanse and repair themselves.  (eg.  from toxins, germs, abnormal cells, heavy metals etc…)  Some of our organs exist to help in this process too.  (eg. the Liver cleanses our blood and the Gallbladder secretes bile to aid in the digestion of our food)  Everything has a purpose and a specific job to do…just as our creator God wanted it.   A Healing Crisis can be a GOOD THING!

If we start taking steps to improve our health and take care of the organs we have, we could prevent or reverse the onset of disease.  Ask God to lead you to the path you are to take.  He will answer!
